Shri Ram Charit Manas also famous as Ramayana is a great Epic which portrays the Life of Lord Rama who was the 7th incarnation of Lord Vishnu (Supreme God in Hinduism). Lord Rama is also known as “Purushottam” which means supreme Purush (personality). Lord Rama is the perfect Avatar of Lord Vishnu and has been described as the amalgamation of multiple traits like Truth, Morality, an Ideal Son, an Ideal Husband and above all an Ideal King. Lord Rama is looked upon and prayed as :

“The one who removes all types of adversity and agony of Jiva (living beings); who bestows all types of favour, honour and wealth; by merely looking at whom, the world feel very pleased; to that Shri Rama, I bow again and again”

Sunderkand is the 5th chapter of this great saga Ramayana. It is principally dedicated to Lord Hanuman who was the incarnation of Lord Shiva and is said to be the most revered example of dedication towards Lord Rama. It is deeply believed in Hinduism that a mere recitation of this Chapter can save a person from dreadful disasters and persistent problems if it is done with full faith, whole heartedly and total dedication.

Sunderkand narrates the journey of Lord Hanuman to Lanka which was the capital city of Ravana (King of Demons) to search for Devi Sita (wife of Lord Rama and who was abducted by Ravana). It starts with Jambvant who provoked and made Hanuman ji aware about his powers. And thereafter Lord Hanuman ji got ready to set his journey to Lanka where he was not only able to find Devi Sita with his extraordinary power but also proved as to what can be achieved by dedication and faith to Lord Rama by virtue of which he was able to burn Srilanka and validate the powers of Lord Rama to Ravana.

Lord Hanuman ji has been blessed upon by kind hearted Devi Sita as the bestower of all the Eight kinds of Siddhis and all the Nine kinds of Nidhis to human beings and hence worshipping him can make a person’s life full of Health, Wealth, Peace and Happiness. All kinds of fears vanishes and a person is able to move forward in his life with full contentment and happiness
